Milan and Paris are both pillars of European culture, architecture, food and nightlife, so making connections between them easier can only be a good thing. And if you’re planning on exploring both, we’ve got some good news.
Trenitalia France is reviving its Paris-Milan (via Turin) service, which will be ferrying passengers from the French capital to the Lombardy capital from next week on April 1, 2025.
The service has been suspended since a landslide caused severe damage near Maurienne in the French Alps on August 27, 2023, but bookings for the relaunch of the service opened in January, with tickets available for as little as €35.

The journey takes between-six and-a-half to seven hours, and there’s more information about tickets and timetables here. Those cheap tickets for the next few weeks have sold out, but fares are still reasonable if you book several weeks in advance.
But that’s not the only announcement Trenitalia France has made – the operator is also launching a brand new service between Paris and Marseille from June 15. Four round trips will run per day, ferrying passengers from the Gare de Lyon all the way to the Mediterranean in just three hours and 20 minutes. It’s set to compete with the existing TGV service between the two cities.
